Observasi Perilaku Cicak Pada Perubahan Cuaca Dikawasan Perumahan Kota Bengkulu

Abstrak

Hemidactylus frenatus is a species of house lizard that is often found in Indonesia, including Bengkulu. The climatic conditions in the Bengkulu region can generally be described as follows: (1) Wet tropical climate, (2) High rainfall and humidity throughout the year (3) Average temperature ranges from 23-31°C (4) The rainy season is longer than the dry season. Bengkulu has two main seasons: the rainy season (October-March) and the dry season (April-September). This observation experiment was carried out with several levels of weather on the lizards on the wall. This research is qualitative research supported by quantitative data based on the constructivist paradigm. The qualitative approach was chosen in relation to the constructivist paradigm which relies on phenomenology to see the researcher's constructive interpretation regarding the meaning of the phenomena that occur. Hemydactilus frenatus has a large population throughout the world, generally found on rocks, trees and near light sources in buildings, lizards are observed as predators who wait passively for prey, in nature lizards have shady places to live, this is also to protect themselves from predators. In housing where lizards generally occupy the roofs of houses, adaptation to climate change is not just a response to the environmental crisis, but rather a long-term investment in sustainability and resilience. Lizards show significant behavioral changes in response to changes in weather, lizards have good adaptability to adapt to changing environmental conditions.
